Ralph Painter, a civil engineer by training, has extensive experience as a management trainer in a wide range of public and private business sectors, including SMEs. He was head of training in the electricity supply industry, gaining a National Training Award for customer service training. Latterly he was Director of training for Grant Thornton where his business unit achieved Investor in People status. Alongside his work on organisational change, he has developed a focus on identifying training needs within organisations. The many areas covered include changing culture, management at all levels, customer care, health and safety, and team-working. His experience as a senior line manager ensures that needs are always clearly related to organisational goals and aspirations.

 
Training consultant Lesley Richards provides expert analysis of training needs for organisations. She is an HR professional with over 16 years of experience in the field. Prior to working with Freshwater Academy, Lesley ran her own consultancy working for clients across a range of sectors including local government, manufacturing, telecommunications and SMEs. She also has extensive experience of working with professional services companies. Lesley holds several HR qualifications, including an MSc in HR Management.

 
Tom Holden is a learning and development expert with 20 years’ experience of the complete learning cycle; needs analysis, design, delivery, evaluation and Return on Investment. This is supported by extensive project management experience gained whilst working as Principal Consultant to the HR Consulting arm of KnowledgePool. Tom is a published author - “Successful Training Needs Analysis” – which is part of the ‘Successful in a Week’ series published by the Chartered Management Institute and Hodder and Stoughton. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Fellow of the Institute of IT Training and a Member of the Chartered Management Institute and the Institute of Business Consulting. Tom provides an excellent facilitation and consultancy service for Freshwater Academy’s clients.
