| Communicating
change
Communication is central to managing change.
Yet all too often, organisations facing change fail to communicate
effectively. The result can be the failure to win the support of
key stakeholders or outright resistance. Either way, the change
process is undermined, takes much longer than anticipated and ultimately
costs more money.
What will be covered?
During this course participants will learn to:
• understand the psychology of change
• appreciate how communication can help or hinder
the change process
• identify key audiences
• identify the skills needed to communicate change.
The course incorporates different approaches to learning. It includes
theory, analytical exercises, hands-on practice, time for observation
and reflection, examples and evidence.
The concepts covered by the course can be quite challenging -
especially for senior level participants with a defined communication
style. An option of a two-day course gives more time to engage with
the theory and then go on to apply the principles on a more individual
level, helping participants develop their own skills and strategy
for communicating change.
Please note that the content of all Freshwater Academy courses
is tailored to the specific needs of the participants. The learning
outcomes listed above are only a guide.
Who is this course for?
Middle and senior managers responsible for implementing change.
